All of us here at Vietnam Battlefield Tours would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Tours

2011 Tour Schedule

Starting in 2011, we are increasing the length of our standard tours from 14 days to 15 days. The price for our new 15-day tours will remain the same as it has been for our 14 day tours, $3,195.00.

We have had a lot of interest in our Northern I-Corps tour so we have now added a second Northern I-Corps tour (March 27 - April 10).  For those who have been with us before, you might be interested in the VN-11041 tour (April 10 - 24) as it has a little more relaxed itinerary.

In May we are offering a Delta tour (May 8 - May 22) which will visit locations throughout the Mekong Delta (IV-Corps) region.  For those of you who served here, you might want to check out this tour.

Our Southern I-Corps tour (June 5 - June 19) is still very popular with 1st Division Marines and others, who served in this area.

Special Request Tours

VN-11063 (June 4 - 21) is an 18-day tour with a 3 day post tour to Ha Long Bay.  This tour will start in Ho Chi Minh City and visit Tay Ninh, the Mekong River, Dalat, Nha Trang, Qui Nhon, An Khe, Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue and the DMZ before finishing up in Ha Noi

VN-11062 (June 18 - July 3) is a 16-day tour.  This tour will start in Ho Chi Minh City and visit locations throughout the greater III-Corps area before moving north to the I-Corps.  This tour will finish up in Ha Noi.

All tours are open to everyone.  If you don't see the place where you served on any of our itineraries just contact us, in most cases we can get you there.

Don't be disappointed, sign up now.

Videos and Films

Vietnam Battlefield Tours' Videos

This past spring; Linda Gacsko and Steven Hiller of Hesperus Films accompanied our March 2010 tour to Vietnam to film and produce several short videos for Vietnam Battlefield Tours.  One of the videos allows us to introduce our company to our website viewers and another has highlights from that March tour.

Day of Discovery

Last year a film crew from Day of Discovery chose Vietnam Battlefield Tours to be their tour guide and Locations Manager in Vietnam while they filmed a 4-part TV series titled "The War Within: Finding Hope for Post-Traumatic Stress" which aired on ION Television.

This year Day of Discovery won two awards for their production of "The War Within":  The 2010 Aegis Award which is judged by their peers in the video arena and the 2010 Ava Award which is judged by marketing professionals.

Congratulations to Day of Discovery for their fine work.

More information about this film can be found here.

Our Vietnam Generation

In February this year, Vietnam Battlefield Tours served as guide and Locations Manager for Visionalist Entertainment.  The resulting documentary, "Our Vietnam Generation," premiers January 28, 2011 in Detroit at the Fox Theater with seating for 4,000.

Agent Orange is a key element of the film, as is a Marine Vietnam veteran who returned to his former AO (area of operations) with his daughter at his side.

Although focused on Michigan veterans, it is a microcosm of all America's Vietnam veterans and the Agent Orange legacy they still bear.  Through this documentary, Visionalist has contributed a moving, insightful, and important addition to what it means to be a Vietnam veteran.

You can watch the movie trailer here.     There is also a music video here.

Water Well Project

This past September, Vietnam Battlefield Tours donated to a Water Well Foundation run by Mr. Maroeun Heng of Siem Reap, Cambodia (Angkor Wat).  Mr. Maroeun Heng's Water Well Foundation builds water wells for needy villages in Cambodia.

The water well that our donation built, came on line on October 13, 2010.  Vietnam Battlefield Tours plans to build several more water wells in Cambodia in 2011.

Photos of the well being built can be found here

Thank You

To all of you who have returned to Vietnam with Vietnam Battlefield Tours, we want to thank you for allowing us the honor to walk beside you as you returned to those areas where you spent your youth.  For those of you still thinking about returning, we look forward to the opportunity to take you there.
