Day 1 & 2: (Sunday - Monday, 3 - 4 May) – Enroute
Report to Los Angeles International Terminal by 7:00 pm and proceed to ticketing counter. Depart Los Angeles on our flight to Taipei or Hong Kong. Lose one day crossing the International Dateline..
Day 3: (Tuesday, 5 May) – Saigon
After a short layover in Taipei or Hong Kong, we land in Tan Son Nhut Airfield before noon and transfer to our hotel. After lunch, we explore a few key sites in Ho Chi Minh City (still referred to most Vietnamese as Saigon). This evening is free to relax or to roam old Tu Do Street in search of great souvenirs.

Day 4: (Wednesday, 6 May) – Saigon to Ban Me Thuot
This morning we enjoy a half-day city tour of important locations during the war before our afternoon flight to Ban Me Thuot.

Day 5: (Thursday, 7 May) – Ban Me Thuot to Pleiku
After breakfast we see the sights in the Ban Me Thuot environs and then head north on the new National Highway 14. We stop at Hill 1028 (Dragon Mountain) and provide ample time for exploration. We arrive at Pleiku as darkness falls and check into our hotel.

Day 6: (Friday, 8 May) – Pleiku
Early this morning we head north to Kontum and Dak To to study this massive area of the month-long 1967 battle, as well as the 1972 Easter Offensive in which Kontum was nearly lost.

Day 7: (Saturday, 9 May) – Pleiku to Nha Trang
Very early this morning, we travel east on Route 19. Our stops include Camp Holloway, Plei Djerang, Jackson Hole, Mang Yang Pass (site of the 1954 annihilation of the French Group Mobile 100 armored column), and An Khe. After lunching in Qui Nhon, we head south on National Highway 1 and soon veer off onto Route 6 to Dong Xuan and the La Hai Special Forces Camp. We again pick up Highway 1 and stop at the airfield at Tuy Hoa. Last, we visit the Ninh Hoa area before arriving in Nha Trang.

Day 8: (Sunday, 10 May) – Nha Trang
Today is a free day to enjoy the beaches, islands, restaurants, and shops in this beautiful beachfront town.

Day 9: (Monday, 11 May) – Nha Trang to Dalat
This morning we continue south, stopping at places of significance during the war, such as Cam Ranh Bay and Phan Rang. Later, we turn northwest on mountainous Route 11 to Dalat. This evening, we enjoy a sumptuous dinner and relax in the cool air of this high mountain resort area.

Day 10: (Tuesday, 12 May) – Dalat to Saigon
This morning is dedicated to exploring the Dalat environs. After a late lunch, we fly back to Saigon.

Day 11: (Wednesday, 13 May) – Saigon
Today we drive to Tay Ninh Province arriving in time for the noon ceremony at the Cao Dai Temple. We then explore the Cu Chi tunnel complex.

Day 12: (Thursday, 14 May) – Saigon to Vung Tau
This morning we take a hydrofoil ride on the Saigon River to Vung Tau for some much needed rest and recreation. We remain overnight to explore the beaches and nightlife offered in this old in-country R&R town.

Day 13: (Friday, 15 May) – Vung Tau to Saigon
After a leisurely breakfast, we take a hydrofoil back to Saigon in time for lunch. The balance of the day is reserved for more relaxing, shopping, or personal exploration. All hands are required tonight for our very special farewell dinner.

Day 14: (Saturday, 16 May) – Departure
For those opting for one of our fabulous post tours, your day begins as we bid our new friends a happy journey home. After breakfast, those heading home transfer to Tan Son Nhut for the flight to Taipei or Hong Kong. Departing from Taipei or Hong Kong, gain a day enroute to the continental United States by re-crossing the International Dateline, arriving in Los Angeles at approximately 2:30pm this same day.
